Damn..

I could have sworn I threw a review to this song.. Guess not. Haha, well I'm here now.

*Bows*

Right, right.. The bird samples.. Beautiful. The bell, well, beautiful. Piano, read description of the bell. Everything flowed together so flawlessly. And that harp (I believe) playing the ascending notes, magnificent. Perfect little add in for that full sound, the same goes for that sitar(?).

The strings, they remind me of HeXeN actually, very much so. With an ominous, yet interesting mellow following rhythm. There is one sample near the end that I didn't quite care for.. The whooping bird, or whatever it is, haha. It's to bright I think, but it still fits nicely.

Contrary to what others are saying, I think that louder drums would effectively ruin the natural feel. This is a forest, not a concert hall.

At parts this song feels almost aquatic, and indeed I think it would make a great epic, with rain storms rolling in half way through and fading out with a calm creeping in the wake of the downpour.. Very interesting visuals from this. And it just wouldn't be complete without those strings.

Excellent layering, excellent job overall really. This was incredibly enjoyable, and you can rest assured that I've fifened this song with all my might. :D

It's on every piece of hardware I own with the ability to play music. And even some stuff that normally doesn't.. (DS :P)

Great job RGH! I'll review another when I have a bit more time, as for myself, I would really appreciate a review on my two newest, especially my 'Sunken Ship - Preview', which I have renamed 'Spirit Galley' for the full version, but as for right now, it is in dire need of some guidance. Oh and please note.. The part with the slowed piano has already been changed due to some reviews from a couple of buddies, so that part has already been dealt with ^^.

Good luck!

Such an in depth review cannot go unoticed.

Your genorosity will be returned....with leftover Halloween candy

Heh.. Guess who?

Alright, now you're really rocking Reason. You continue to impress and please, and impressed and pleased I am. A little piece of rock from the heavens done Metroid style if you ask me.

It sounds cluttered and dysfunctional- couldn't be farther from the truth! This, though somewhat cluttered, feels agonizingly powerful and gripping, with a great driving, thudding drumset that just rocks everything in earshot. The leads breaks off and compliments the formerly support synth and ushers in a moment's reprieve before it breaks back in and shit starts flying all over again.

Grab your rifle and get in the fray!

This could- or rather would- fit perfectly into some Resistance: FOM warfare. Just finished it today, with the battles fresh in my mind, I can see this working perfectly with it's incredible momentum.

The charge throughout this whole song gives it incredible replay ability, sit back and let it loop, it doesn't get any better. This is a perfect choice of instruments and something that you should be immensely proud of. This kicks ass, but rest assured, it's all out of gum.

Keep it up, maybe I'll have to replace my speakers again soon- playing tracks like this way too loud! :D

RyeGuyHead responds:

I agree, but your compliments are all too flattering

Nice.

This song is worth listening to for the pads alone, which are totally awesome. The main pluck bugs the shit out of me, but the synth that comes in actually fits the background pad nicely I think. Drums were good, and overall this served as a decent song. Lastly, the pad suddenly started was kind of out of place, and probably would do well with slowly building up. Good job in any case, keep it up!

B34T1N responds:

I'll keep your review in mind, im going to try this again but with more of the sound that comes in at the middle, since people liked that bit XD

That was...

An incredibly fun track. The drums I felt could have packed a bit more punch, but overall it was very enjoyable. On a side-note, this might be more suitable to 'Electronic' instead of 'Ambient'. The bass was wonderful, and the trumpet was a little random but it did it's job excellently. I hate to say it but you're better at writing coherent notes than I am. :/

Great job!

quickshot-x responds:

Hehe, fun track! Many say it's a wierd composition. But it's ambient feel is supposed to be a dedication to the innocent for those who died.Hopefully someone will understand the songs meaning, that this is a dedication to those who died innocent. Sorry for your late reply my friend. (3/20/07 In America Years)

Hmm...

That was about as diverse as elephant fecal matter! Which is somewhat diverse :/. Not bad actually.. But even though you didn't compose it, I was still waiting for some filtered drums to come in and a nice background whining synth, maybe even some choirs! Would'a been awesome. This guitar almost sounds alive, which is amazing. Kudos on the effects.. An example of what I mean can be found on OCRemix, under the title 'The Glass Moon' it's by DJCarbunk1e I think. :D Keep it up!

mhb responds:

thanx. very appreciated review. maybe i'll re-make this and use some of the ideas that you gave.

This was incredibly simple,

but still was fun :D. Hmm, the lead guitar does kind of bug me though, it doesn't pack the punch it should T.T. Well, if you use FL, then you can send the original FL file to me I can replace that guitar for you and I'll render it and send it back so you can resubmit with a truly awesome track! :D Just let me know ^^

The super boxor roxor.

Mataro is temporarily going to speak normally after this sentence for the duration of Mataro's review for this song.

This was way cool! :D

Alright, sounds like Phantasy Star actually, which I love the music to. Great loop, and it all meshes perfectly, you my good sir, know what your doing. I don't, lawl. I'm favouriting your page, and I shall be back! :D

5/5 and a download. Replayability 8/10. Good job ^^. Trance is tasty, I do like this, immensely so. :o

Aeterminus responds:

Meh, methinks it be a wee bit ugly.

I'ma make it better and post it to Solus.

Thanks though!

-Solus

This roxored Mataro's boxoreds.

Now Mataro is very sad because Solus will not make as many twinklies.

This twinkly was very good. Good twinkly.

5 out of 5 elbows. Backwards twinklability is 10/10. Make more pretties.

Mass DLed, but cool :D

Not enough diversity, buts inspired me to make a new song, so off I go. Good job on this, the percussion is brilliant!

PlayTheGame responds:

im glad my song inspired u

Bass needs to be a little bit more diverse..

Infact the whole thing should be shaken up a bit, haha. Also, assuming you're using FL Studio, use the bass thats in the Slayer, I think you'll find it works better, haha. Nice try, you'll get better as you go, I'll wager. Good luck!

3/5. Replayability 7/10. Keep your head up! :D

If anyone wants a review on a particular song, feel free to PM me, I'll be happy to leave you a few comments, any style, no prob. Just leave me to review a song or two, no "Come and review my music plz!" ok? Haha, we have a deal then? :P
