Leagues ahead your other pieces..

And I didn't count effort in your overall. Reason being, I KNOW YOUR SECRETS =.=. Lmao, but meh, just try not to get in a groove with it =p. And to clarify everyone, just in case you might think I am hinting that this sir has stolen this song, he hasn't, this is original of his creation lol =p.

Well, I still recognise all the instruments =p. Try making your own, but otherwise its a very nice mix.

All my fifen are bleonggz to this, but you get 4, cause of your dirty cheating methods =.=. Lol, oh well, good stuff anyhow.

4/5, a download. Replayability 7.5/10. Master thy blade, and know thy enemy, and thy foe shall drop on his own. A huge step forwards, keep it up! ^^

Sun-and-Moon responds:

Haha thanks for the review. Yes I'm thinking of making my own instruments as the ones they give you are...well...limited. I had to add effects to every single one in this piece in order for it to sound interesting. And I'm sure if you didn't know my methods you would have been blown away ;)

Wow..

I absolutely love crystalline sounds! These bells and the harp worked perfectly, the gave the feeling of wonder and excitement, a sense of awe. The strings were perfect, as they gave a feeling of innocence, happiness, then they were joined by horns, and gave off the feeling of an adventure, a remorse. The harp solo led back in and offered its relaxing melody. For a short loop, this has an astonishing array of feelings and difference incorporated into it. Very well done.

So, of course after getting such a review from you, I was already going to come and take a look at your page, but then you asked if I would come, and naturally, I had to. I'm very glad I did. Most certainly, this has its orchestral moments, but classical it is not. Ambient I do believe would have fitted this more comfortably ^^.

Naturally, you're good, you don't need me to tell you that, but I find now real enhancements that this could need, so I'll just leave it and say that I will continue to review your pieces.

5/5, and a download. Replayability 9.5/10. Wonderful job ^^. Like wise, don't get knocked from the fray!

MaestroSegments responds:

Thanks Mataro, I thought aside from trying new samples that i'd try to make a good loopable song, one that loops without huge signs and tell tale signs. I thought this was done pretty well in that aspect, and was afraid too add too much in fear that it would negate that entire purpose.

Thanks a ton for the review ^^.

I meant every one of those tens.

Absolutely, I haven't heard anything I could compare to this, its diversified perfectly, I hear no distortion other than what was obviously intended, and it sounds like a lot of work went into this one. Downright wicked.

I told you I would be back =p. And ok, maybe you saw me in the vg, I was up near the top for a while, until I got z-bombed to hell lol. Oh well, do stop by, it would be a pleasure to hear from someone of your artistic calibre.

But again, the point is the song, awesome, my only suggestion, is it could be slightly longer, the one problem that you would run into there, is that it may get repetitive. So its great as is. One of the few songs that get a perfect score from me, this is truly awe inspiring. Full of energy, it grabs you by the throat and throws you out the door into what is obviously a step forward from where you were, because you now see more, like a greater understanding. Very few songs can really have such an effect, and it would seem you managed to capture the essence in this wonderful audio.

5/5, and a download. The synth melody is wonderful. The strings are the perfect ambience. Replayability 7.75/10.

The-XI responds:

Good sir, you can trust me on this one, if I made it any longer, I would have changed the melody drasctically just to make it entertaining =)

Thank you for the nice comments =D

I stopped by like you asked,

and for crying out loud, why ask my opinion when your an artist ten times more talented than me? Lol =p. Well, two things first, this review isn't going to be too terribly long, because I already wrote a huge one for this song, but my internet cut as I was trying to send it. Sorry, but I'll make sure to leave something constructive. Alright, first thing first, this is perfection, the only thing that it lost to is that it is not quite as diversified as it could have been, but it works perfectly for its purpose. The instruments, distorted bass offers a driven beat that adds energy, the pluck synth adds on to the bass and works cumulatively, the drum beat adds even more drive, while giving the song a more full feeling, the piano adds relaxation in an upbeat manner, it blends perfectly, the synthesized strings give it background and a great overall feeling, the distancing in the beginning works for a perfect introduction to the melody, and leads in the beat excellently. This is Xtreme G grade material; wicked stuff. Truly awesome. My only lingering question, is why did you choose me in particular to come in and review? How did you even come to know I existed? Lol. Well, I take my leave, but I'll let you know, your on my favourites now, and I will make sure to come by again and leave you a review or two =p.

5/5, and a download. Replayability 8.5/10.

The-XI responds:

How did I know you existed? You submit to the audio portal too, lol =D

I would have rather have read the longer version of this review, but this one was seriously long anyways =S lol

Thank you for the nice comments! I worked hard on this song, as your review is telling me that you appreciate =)

9's across the board =p

Huh, when I first came by your stuff, you were back on maniac flood and such, its great to see you have advance this much! I'm glad I paid you a visit, you see, your the person I look to when it comes to FL, I used GarageBand, but that has come to an end, I just can't use it any more because I am losing my Mac, but now I have FL, and obviously this is the first place I would turn, great stuff. I was hoping to be able to say that my stuff is right behind you, or maybe even on par! But hell no, you have to go and out do me, squish me like a little bug, crush all my hopes and dreams lol =p. I'll catch ya one day =p. But about the song! Great stuff, absolutely terrific, very eery, nice dark atmosphere, love the synth. Awesome, my 5 is yours, do stop by my page please, your on my favourites, and it would be an honor to be graced by your thoughts ^^. I hope to see you there, and I will be keeping tabs on you now, I need to learn all I can, as quickly as I can, so I can get back in to the groove, as it obviously takes a while when you change program, and the original one, and the one your changing to have almost no similarities at all lol. Good Luck!

RyeGuyHead responds:

Dont feel too bad man, i did this song with reason, so the production is a lil different than fruity loops.
Its been a while since ive used that program come to think of it...

Ill hit your page up

Neat,

very cool, I like it, but it doesn't seem that terribly different to me, the pluck synth, seemed to bend a bit near the end, and that left a bit of a bad taste, this sounds like something that would be best suited to DooM 2 lol. Nice job, you get my 4, congrats ^^.

Billy86 responds:

thanks for the review!

Hmmm...

Well, when you had the blown bottle sound, you shoulda kept it going up, and then let it drift back down, its ok track, and gets my 4. You also get to go on my favourites, I'm planning on keeping track of you =p, expect me to return every now and then and let ya know how your doing, hope you don't mind =p.

RoboX responds:

Sure I don't mind :D

I'd like that a lot

Thanks for the review

Well,

nice try, but one thing I am still working on as well, is if your going to have a full break in your song, you have to explode at full pace when you come back in. If you ease out to just a beat for a few seconds, then ease back in with the melody, but in a different tone. Again, nice try, keep it up ^^.

RoboX responds:

thanks :D

Twas good,

I like it, it brought back fond memories of kicking ass =P, sure a little repetetive, but meh, its a piano solo lol. Although, please, stick to actual songs, I mean you have plenty of good beats for songs, just drop the Beastie Boys bit, and you'll be way ahead from where you are right now, stop hacking away at music until your left with its humorous in your hand, and instead take it as a whole, and you'll end up with some pretty wicked songs ^^. Good Luck.

cockjockey responds:

Thanks for the input, its always nice to get proper feedback rather than one word compliments/insults.
With regards to the Beasties thing, it's a project, inspired by Dangermouses Grey Album, I wanted to do the geeky white boy version. I don't consider any of those songs to be finished and am constantly going back to tweak them and make them less repetitive. Hopefully I'll end up with something a lot more polished, perhaps I won't, but it's fun all the same.
As for original stuff, I used to have ideas coming out of my arse but recently I've found myself barely starting things before getting sick of it and going back to (infinitely easier) remixes of game music that I like. But it's coming along, I promise.
Thanks again

Quite an improvement!

Its definately got a restful feel, almost nightmarish at parts lol. Alot better than your first, and although I can recognise the prefabs, they are much, much better employed throughout this song, well done! ^^

Sun-and-Moon responds:

Haha, this was AFTER I found out that I could make my own tracks and employ different prefabs for different sounds, sounds that are very different. Although the ending is a bit sudden, I feel this song is very relaxing and quite interesting. Right now I am in the midst of making an 8-bit techno-themed song, or maybe another ambient song. Should be nice!

If anyone wants a review on a particular song, feel free to PM me, I'll be happy to leave you a few comments, any style, no prob. Just leave me to review a song or two, no "Come and review my music plz!" ok? Haha, we have a deal then? :P
